Amazon Takes Product Listings to the Next Level with Advanced AI Capabilities

Midjourney

Amazon has rolled out a new suite of generative AI tools that promise to simplify and enhance the process of creating product listings for sellers. These AI-enabled features assist in crafting compelling product titles and descriptions and allow sellers to add and enrich existing listings without starting from scratch. Developed using unspecified large language models, the product suite is capable of making intelligent inferences about products. For instance, the AI can deduce that a table is round if the specifications list a diameter or identify whether a laptop is lightweight or heavy based on its specifications like dimensions and weight. The goal is clear: to dramatically improve listing quality while saving sellers precious time.

Despite the excitement, there's a note of caution. These generative AI tools have the potential to hallucinate or create misleading information. If inaccuracies slip through without human review, Amazon could face legal repercussions, especially if it isn't transparent about AI's role in generating product information. Sellers are advised to double-check the content generated by these AI tools to ensure it aligns with Amazon's stringent listing guidelines.

The push for integrating generative AI into e-commerce isn't unique to Amazon; industry giants like eBay and Shopify are also getting in on the action. Just this week, eBay launched an AI tool capable of generating product listings from photos, while Shopify has introduced a ChatGPT-like assistant for many business tasks.

Billionaires wanted it, but 54,578 everyday investors got it first… and profited

When incredibly valuable assets come up for sale, it's typically the wealthiest that end up taking home an amazing investment. But not always

One platform is taking on the billionaires at their own game, buying up and securitizing some of history’s most prized blue-chip artworks for its investors. In just the last few years, its investors have realized annualized net returns of 17.8%, 21.5%, 35% and more from these opportunities.

It's called Masterworks. Their nearly $1 billion collection includes works by greats like Banksy, Picasso, and Basquiat, all of which are collectively owned by everyday investors. When Masterworks sells a painting – like the 16 it's already sold – investors reap their portion of the net proceeds.

It's easy to get started but offerings can sell out in minutes. However, as a trusted partner, The Deep View readers can skip the waitlist to join with this exclusive link.

Adobe Firefly Fully Unveiled: The New Age of AI in Creative Design

Midjourney

Adobe's generative AI tool, Firefly, has graduated from its beta phase to become a fully integrated feature across Adobe's Creative Cloud, Express, and Experience Cloud platforms. Firefly, designed to automate and enhance design tasks, offers functionalities like "generative fill" for automatically filling image gaps and "generative expand" to intelligently enlarge canvases. Its capabilities extend from auto-generating graphic designs based on user preferences to even creating intricate image compositions. Now, Firefly isn't just a fancy add-on; it’s launching as its own standalone web app, marking its evolution from a demo-like feature to an official product in Adobe's portfolio. Take a look at all of FireFly’s functionality below.

Adobe is shaking things up with a unique "generative credits" system for Firefly. Here's how it works:

  1. Each time you use Firefly to generate an image or a design, you consume one "generative credit."

  2. Adobe plans to allot different quantities of these credits to various user plans. Once exhausted, Firefly will still function, but at a significantly slower pace.

  3. For those on Adobe Firefly and Adobe Express Premium subscriptions, running out of credits will limit you to just two generations per day.

Why is Adobe introducing this credit system? According to Alexandru Costin, Adobe’s VP for Generative AI, these generative models are large, cloud-based, and, consequently, costly to run. The credit system is designed to balance server load and ensure fair usage across Adobe’s diverse user base. Initially, this credit limit will not be enforced until November 1, giving users a brief period to acclimate to this new ecosystem.

Already used to generate over 2 billion images, Firefly's AI models have mainly been trained using Adobe’s stock collection. This training ensures the generated content is commercially safe for business use. Adobe is even taking it a step further, offering to indemnify enterprise users against any legal repercussions from using Firefly-generated images.

💷LastMile AI: Raises $10 Million to Democratize Generative AI for App Development.

LastMile AI, a startup aimed at helping software engineers integrate generative AI models into apps, has raised $10 million in seed funding from investors, including Google's Gradient fund. The funding will help expand the company’s seven-member team and develop new products. Co-founders Sarmad Qadri, Andrew Hoh, and Suyog Sonwalkar, previously part of Meta's product engineering team, aim to democratize generative AI by simplifying its implementation. LastMile addresses the challenges of incorporating AI into business workflows by offering a unified platform for AI app development. The platform supports both text and image-based AI models and provides modules for experimentation, workflow creation, and template sharing. LastMile targets software developers rather than machine learning experts, looking to fill a gap in the market for more accessible AI developer tools.

🎵 The New Rhythm of AI: Stability AI's Stable Audio

Stability AI, a London-based startup, has launched Stable Audio, a generative audio tool capable of creating high-quality, commercial-grade music. Stable Audio uses latent diffusion to produce coherent, 90-second tracks based on user-generated text prompts. The tool has garnered attention for its improved musicality compared to previous AI music generators, though it hasn't been released as open-source. Despite potential legal and ethical concerns surrounding copyright and deepfakes, Stability AI aims to revolutionize the field of AI music generation. The launch comes as the company faces pressure from investors to generate revenue, following a $25 million convertible note round that brings its total funding to over $125 million.
